The Village at Westgate is a luxury community comprised of ninety-one apartments, two commercial spaces, and garage parking.
At it's completion in July 2019, the development became the first mixed-use project in the newly created Westgate Mixed Use Zone in Edmonds.

SUSTAINABILITY

WHAT IS LEED?
The LEED plaque on a building is a mark of quality and achievement in green building. Leaders across the globe have made LEED the most widely used green building rating system in the world with 1.85 million square feet of construction space certifying every day. LEED certification provides independent verification of a building or neighborhood’s green features, allowing for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy, cost-effective buildings. LEED is the triple bottom line in action, benefiting people, planet and profit.

AIR QUALITY
100% smoke free, The Village at Westgate also selects paints and finished based on their low chemical content to improve quality for all residents and staff.

REDUCED CARBON TRANSPORTATION
The community provides controlled access bike storage, self-service care, and outdoor bike wash. The parking garage features 6 EV charging stations and is accessible using a smartphone app. The site is located within walking distance of public bus stops that offer a direct commute to downtown Seattle, Edmonds-Kingston Ferry, and Lynnwood Transit Center.

EFFICIENT WATER USE
Demand on conventional water supplies and pressure on sewage treatment systems is reduced by the use of greywater. Re-using greywater also reduces the volume of effluent entering watercourses which can be ecologically beneficial. In times of drought, especially in urban areas, greywater use in gardens or toilet systems helps to achieve some of the goals of ecologically sustainable development.
